This lithograph, made by Émile Prisse d’Avennes (1807–1879), shows a rectangular stucco and glass window with the motif of a stylized cypress tree entwined by a yellow tendril with red blossoms, within an arch. The holes drilled in the stucco are indicated with many small dots. The arched frame consists of geometric forms made of pieces of red and green glass. Stylized blossoms can be seen in the four corners of the rectangular frame. The stucco and glass window is encased in a wooden frame with interlace ornament. Prisse d’Avennes drew the entire window in a fine pencil drawing, but concentrated mainly on the right-hand side of the symmetrical window when colouring it. There is an annotation on the left side which says “Modèle à suivre” (template to follow).
