    Description

    Die runde Wappenscheibe ist zweigeteilt und zeigt im unteren kleineren Bereich beidseitig je ein Wappen, dazwischen befindet sich ein Teil der Inschrift. Im oberen Bildfeld ist die Opferung Isaaks durch seinen Vater Abraham zu sehen (1. Mose 22).

    Die Scheibe wurde von Ulrich Stähelin und Barbara Fazer gestiftet.
    Ulrich Stähelin (11. Juli 1671, Amriswil – 21. November 1738) war der Sohn des Jörg und der Maria Häberli. In erster Ehe heiratete er 1691 Maria Cuschering, aus der Ehe ging mindestens eine Tochter hervor. Die zweite Ehe ging er am 19. September 1697 mit Barbara Fazer ein(FamiliySearch, 2021, Ulrich Staeheli). Von ihr ist lediglich das Geburtsjahr 1679 bekannt. Aus der Ehe mit ihr gingen mindestens zwei Söhne hervor.
    Eine zugehörige Rundscheibe (TG_2532) aus dem gleichen Jahr wurde von Barbara Gsell, Witwe des Georg Stähelin, geschenkt. Ulrich und Georg Stähelin waren vermutlich miteinander verwandt.
