    Die runde Wappenscheibe ist zweigeteilt und zeigt im unteren kleineren Bereich ein Wappen (Vogel auf einem Dreiberg). Im oberen Bildfeld ist die Samariterin zu sehen, wie sie Jesus zu trinken gibt (Johannes 4,1–42).

    Gestiftet wurde die Scheibe von der in der Inschrift genannten Barbara Gsell, Witwe des Georg Stähelin und wohnhaft in Almensberg (“Olmensperg”), ein ehemaliges Niedergericht und ein Weiler in der Gemeinde Amriswil (Thurgau). Eine zugehörige Rundscheibe (TG_2533) aus dem gleichen Jahr wurde von Ulrich Stähelin und Barbara Fazer geschenkt. Ulrich und Georg Stähelin waren vermutlich miteinander verwandt.
    Das Familienwappen Stehlin von Zürich weist gewisse Ähnlichkeiten mit dem auf der Scheibe dargestellten Wappen auf (Blasonierung: In Gold auf grünem Dreiberg roter Eichelhäher mit geraubtem, grünen Eichenzweig mit golden Frucht, im linken Obereck roter Feuerstahl, vgl. Dobler, o.D., Stehlin von Zürich ZH).
