Description

Kartuschenförmiges Fenster aus überwiegend blau durchgefärbtem Glas. Die spitzen Zacken des Sterns sind aus weissem stark gebläseltem wie auch gelb- und orangefarbenem Glas in den blauen Farbgrund eingesetzt. Die sternförmig von aussen nach innen verlaufenden Bleiruten bilden den Morgenstern als Teil einer Mariensymbolik.

Research

1983 wurde das Architekturbüro Heeb & Wicki mit der Errichtung eines Vordachs und der Renovierung des Innenraums der kleinen Kapelle Maria Einsiedeln in St. Gallen beauftragt. Maria Einsiedeln wurde 1770 nach Plänen des Architekten Johann Ferdinand Beer im Auftrag von Fürstabt Beda Angehrn erbaut. Im Kontext der Renovierung wurden ein Jahr später, 1984, die von Heinrich Stäubli entworfene und ausgeführten Verglasung eingesetzt: vier Fenster im Kirchenschiff, zwei kleine Fenster in der Westwand und zwei Rundfenster im Chor. Es ist nicht bekannt, wie die Verglasung vor 1984 aussah.
