    Description

    Rechteckiges, hauptsächlich in Grautönen gehaltenes Fenster, das durch breite Metallsprossen unterteilt ist. In der unteren Hälfte ist ein Pferd mit Reiter dargestellt. Das weisse Pferd trägt einen Blätterkranz um den Hals, der Reiter hat die linke Hand erhoben.

    Am Wettbewerb für die Glasfenster der Johanneskirche nahmen Gian Casty, Alfred Kobel und Max Hellstern teil. Ihr Auftrag war es, Entwürfe zu Themen aus den Schriften des Apostels Johannes auszuarbeiten. Die Jury, bestehend aus den Architekten Benedikt Huber und Max Vogt sowie Pfarrer Walther Rüegg, entschied sich für Castys Entwürfe zu Passagen aus der Offenbarung Johannes. Das Reiter-Fenster bezieht sich auf Kap. 6, 2.
