History

Research

Karl Lutz (3.3.1670–2.4.1750), Sohn des Berner Griechischprofessors Emanuel Lutz und der Johanna Maria Wurstemberger, war Oberst im Land und 1733 Zeugwart. Seine Frau Elisabeth von Wattenwyl (1679–1748), Tochter des Vinzenz Maximilian und der Magdalena Steiger, gebar ihm 1702 und 1706 zwei Kinder (HBLS 4/1927, S. 741; Kessel 2016). Der Glasmaler des auf wenige Farben reduzierten Rundscheibchens lässt sich nicht mit Sicherheit bestimmen, unter den bekannten dürfte jedoch Andreas Fueter am ehesten als Autor in Frage kommen.
