Biographical Data
Orientalist painter. He travelled to Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine in 1831–33. In Cairo, he saw and later described the production of stucco and glass windows. Étienne Thevenot reports his description in his Essai historique sur le vitrail 1837.
