    Es handelt sich wohl um eines der sechs Radierungs-Blätter, basierend auf Hackerts Zeichnungen im Skizzenbuch "Voyage de Normandie" von 1766. Der Künstler hat sie sehr wahrscheinlich während seines Aufenthalts 1765/66 in der Normandie geschaffen und Gustav Philipp, Graf von Creutz, gewidmet, als dieser von 1767 bis 1783 schwedischer Ambassador in Paris war.
